Czech Mexicans () are citizens of Mexico who are of Czech descent. Czechs originate from the Czech lands, a term which refers to the majority of the traditional lands of the Bohemian Crown, namely Bohemia, Moravia and Czech Silesia. These lands have been governed by a variety of states, including the Kingdom of Bohemia, a crown land of the Austrian Empire, the Czechoslovak Republic, and, now, the Czech Republic. Luis Arturo Villar Sudek (born 20 March 1991), better known as Luisito Comunica, is a Mexican YouTuber and blogger. Sylvia Schmelkes (born 28 July 1948) is a Mexican sociologist and education researcher, and current director of the Mexican National Institute of Educational Evaluation. She is best known for her work in intercultural education, and her book 'Toward better quality of our schools'. Schmelkes has also written over 100 academic texts and essays. She is a former General Coordinator of Intercultural and Bilingual Education at the Secretariat of Public Education in Mexico, and is currently heading the Research Institute for the Development of Education at the Iberoamerican University. In 2008 she received the Comenius Medal from UNESCO for her career as a researcher. Miroslava Šternová ( Stanclová; 26 February 1926 – 9 March 1955), known professionally as Miroslava Stern, was a Czechoslovak-Mexican actress. Biography Born in interwar Prague as Miroslava Stanclová, her father died and she was adopted by a Jewish doctor, the psychoanalyst Dr. Oskar Leo Stern (1900–1972) who married her mother, Miroslava (née Becka; 1898–1945), and became known as Miroslava Šternová. Wenceslaus Linck
Wenceslaus Linck () (29 March 1736 – 8 February 1797) was the last of the outstanding Jesuit missionary-explorers in Baja California. Born in Neudek, Bohemia, he entered the Jesuit order at age 18 and studied at Brno and Prague. In New Spain, he continued his studies in Mexico City and Puebla between 1756 and 1761. In 1762 he was sent to Baja California, initially to Santa Gertrudis, at that time the northernmost Jesuit establishment. Juan de Esteyneffer (March 4, 1664 – 1716) was a Moravian German lay Jesuit missionary sent to the New World. He is known for his 1711 work ''Florilegio Medicinal'', which compiled a combination of New World traditional medicine, European '' materia medica'', and 18th-century European medical diagnosis. Esteyneffer was born in Iglau, Moravia. His original German name is unclear; ''Juan de Esteyneffer'' was its rendering in Spanish, and the last name is also variously given as ''Steinhofer, Steinhöfer, Steinheffer, Steineffer'', or ''Estainefer''.
