Czech-Slovak Supercup
The Czech-Slovak Supercup (Czech/) was an annual football match between the winners of the Czech Cup and the Slovak Cup. The first Czech-Slovak Supercup was held on 23 June 2017. The first champions were the Czech side Zlín. The competition was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format The Supercup was played as a single match with no extra time and a penalty shoot-out if the score is tied after 90 minutes of play. In 2017, the winner received CZK 500,000 (€19,000) in prize money, while the loser received half of that sum. Městský fotbalový stadion Miroslava Valenty is a multi-use stadium in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of 1. FC Slovácko. The Czech Supercup () was an annual football match between the winners of the Czech First League and the Czech Cup, organised by the Czech Football Association. It was last sponsored by Synot Tip and was therefore officially known as the Synot Tip Supercup. Ferdinand Daučík
Ferdinand Daučík (also known as Fernando Daucik; 30 May 1910 – 14 November 1986) was a Slovak football player and manager. Daučík was the manager of several La Liga clubs, most notably Barcelona, Atlético Bilbao, Atlético Madrid and Real Zaragoza. During his career, he managed La Liga clubs in 488 matches, won three La Liga titles and won the Copa del Generalísimo on six occasions, including three La Liga/Copa doubles. He died in Alcalá de Henares. Playing career Daučík played as a defender for 1. ČsŠK Bratislava, Slavia Prague and the Czechoslovakia national team. He was only the third Slovak player ever to play for Czechoslovakia. He was part of the squad at both the 1934 and 1938 FIFA World Cups, and although he didn't play in the 1934 tournament, he was the only Slovak to play in the 1938 competition. The Slovak Football Association (, SFZ) is the governing body of Association football in Slovakia. The association has the responsibility for the control and development of football in Slovakia, and is the body that runs the Slovakia national football, and futsal teams. Anton Malatinský Stadium () is a football stadium located in Trnava, Slovakia, which is the home ground of the local football club Spartak Trnava. The stadium was completely renovated in 2013–2015 and has an all-seated capacity of 18,200 which makes it the second-largest football stadium in Slovakia. On 14 January 1998, the stadium was named in the honour of former footballer and manager Anton Malatinský, who died in 1992. 2013–2015 reconstruction The stadium underwent a complex reconstruction between 2013 and 2015.
