Cyprus was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song "Feeling Alive", written and performed by Stelios Constantas. The Cypriot participating broadcaster, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), internally selected its entry for the contest. Constantas, had previously attempted to represent the nation at the contest after taking part in the and selection processes. CyBC announced its entry for the 2003 contest on 11 February 2003, having been selected internally by a three-member committee. To promote the entry, the song was released as a CD single and to radio and television stations within both Cyprus and Greece. RIK 1 (Greek: ΡΙΚ 1) is a Cypriot television channel owned and operated by Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. It was launched in 1957. History The channel opened in 1957 as CBS TV, in 1959, the corporation changed its name to CyBC, RIK in Greek. Until 1992, RIK was the only television channel in the country, a position it held for 34 and a half years until March 1992, when RIK 2 started broadcasting, and later in April, the private channel O Logos. Skonto Hall (also known as Skonto Arena) is an arena in Riga, Latvia. In the lobby of Skonto there are conference halls, a gym, and an arena with an Artificial turf, artificial football field, which also hosts numerous exhibitions and concerts. Vecrīga ("Old Riga") is the historical center and a neighbourhood (as Vecpilsēta) of Riga, Latvia, located in the Central District on the east side of Daugava River. Vecrīga is famous for its old churches and cathedrals, such as Riga Cathedral, St. James's Cathedral and St. Peter's Church.
