Cyprus Cricket Association
The Cyprus Cricket Association (CCA) (Greek: Σύνδεσμος Κρίκετ Κύπρου) () is the governing body of cricket in Cyprus. It is a member of the ICC Europe (earlier the European Cricket Council) and an associate member of the International Cricket Council since 1999. It organises the Cyprus cricket league which has 23 participating teams including some from the British military bases of Akrotiri, Episkopi, and Dekhelia. It is also responsible for the Cyprus National Cricket team. Cricket has been played in Cyprus for many years, but has mainly been confined to the British Army bases. Moufflons Cricket Club was the first ever Cyprus based cricket club established in 1987. International Cricket Council
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global Sports governing body, governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. In 1965, the body was renamed as the International Cricket Conference and adopted its current name in 1987. ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ICC Europe
ICC Europe is the International Cricket Council region responsible for administration of the sport of cricket in Europe. It is a subordinate body to the International Cricket Council (ICC). The organisation currently has 34 members, located in Europe, and is responsible for the development, promotion and administration of the game in the continent. The earlier body European Cricket Council used to manage cricket administration for Europe until it was brought under the auspices of the ICC Development programme as ICC Europe in 2008, and later dissolved as an independent body. Limassol
Limassol, also known as Lemesos, is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus and capital of the Limassol district. Limassol is the second-largest urban area in Cyprus after Nicosia, with an urban population of 195,139 and a district population of 262,238. Cyprus National Cricket Team
The Cypriot national cricket team is the team that represents Cyprus in international cricket. They became an International Cricket Council (ICC) affiliate member in 1999, and an associate member in 2017, although it was not until August 2006 that they made their international debut, finishing as runners up in Division Four of the European Championship.
