Cyprian Brady
Cyprian Brady (born 26 June 1962) is an Irish former Fianna Fáil politician. He was a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Central constituency from 2007 to 2011. Brady is a former civil servant who for 20 years ran the constituency office of the former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern. Political career In 2002, Brady was nominated by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, as a member of the 22nd Seanad. 2007 general election In late 2005, Brady and his brother Royston, a former Lord Mayor of Dublin and unsuccessful candidate for the European Parliament, were both reported to be in contention for a Fianna Fáil nomination in the Dublin Central constituency. Although Dublin Central was the constituency of the then Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and was considered a strong Fianna Fáil constituency there was stiff competition from other parties. A Teachta Dála ( ; ; plural ), abbreviated as TD (plural ''TDanna'' in Irish language, Irish, TDs in English), is a member of Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas, the parliament of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The official English translation of the term is "Dáil Deputy". An equivalent position would be a Member of parliament, Member of Parliament (MP) in the UK or Member of Congress in the USA. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the two legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Chris Wall
Christopher Joseph Wall (23 December 1942 – 28 December 2021) was an associate of former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern. He served as Ahern's election agent at the 2007 general election, and after the election he was nominated by the Taoiseach to serve as a Senator for the final weeks of the 22nd Seanad. He filled one of the vacancies caused by the election of four of the nominated Senators to Dáil Éireann. An election agent is the person legally responsible for the conduct of a candidate's political campaign and to whom election material is sent by those running the election. RTÉ Radio 1 () is an Irish national radio station owned and operated by RTÉ and is the direct descendant of Dublin radio station 2RN, which began broadcasting on a regular basis on 1 January 1926. The total budget for the station in 2010 was €18.4 million. It is the most-listened-to radio station in Ireland. Brian O'Higgins
Brian O'Higgins (; 1 July 1882 – 10 March 1963), also known as Brian na Banban, was an Irish writer, poet, soldier and politician who was a founding member of Sinn Féin and served as President of the organisation from 1931 to 1933. He was a leading figure within 20th century Irish republicanism and was widely regarded for his literary abilities. Family and early life Brian O'Higgins was born in 1882, the youngest of fourteen children of small farmers in Kilskeer, County Meath. The single transferable vote (STV) or proportional-ranked choice voting (P-RCV) is a multi-winner electoral system in which each voter casts a single vote in the form of a ranked ballot. Voters have the option to rank candidates, and their vote may be transferred according to alternative preferences if their preferred candidate is eliminated or elected with surplus votes, so that their vote is used to elect someone they prefer over others in the running. Mary Fitzpatrick (born 20 February 1969) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who has served as a senator since June 2020. She was elected for the Industrial and Commercial Panel in 2025, having previously being nominated by the Taoiseach in 2020.
