Quinten Hermans (born 29 July 1995) is a Belgian road and cyclo-cross cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Starting his career in cyclo-cross, he won the 2015 and 2016 European Under-23 Cyclo-cross Championships, as well as taking home the bronze medal in the men's under-23 event at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder. He won his first UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race in Fayetteville in 2021. Since 2023, Hermans has raced primarily on the road. Thibau Nys
Thibau Nys (born 12 November 2002) is a Belgian cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam on the road and for UCI Cyclo-cross team in cyclo-cross. Nys is the son of Sven Nys, one of the most successful cyclo-cross riders of all time. Nys has followed in his father's footsteps and has started cyclo-cross from an early age on. He has already obtained three Belgian and one European cyclo-cross title in the youth categories. On 2 February 2020, he won the men's junior title at the 2020 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. Fem Van Empel
Fem van Empel (born 3 September 2002) is a Dutch professional racing cyclist. In January 2021, she won the women's under-23 race at the 2021 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. During the 2022–2023 season she won the women's elite race at the World Championships and the European Cyclo-cross Championships. On 22 January 2023, she secured overall victory at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup ( 2022–23). On 16 February 2023 at Brussels, Fem clinched the X20 Badkamers Trophy. The previous week, her first race in the World Champions jersey, competing in the X20 Badkamers at Lille she finished 1st doing a "Pidcock" (posing as Superwoman) across the finish line. Cyclo-cross
Cyclo-cross (cyclocross, CX, cyclo-X or cross) is a form of bicycle racing. Races typically take place in the autumn and winter (the international or "World Cup" season is October–February), and consist of many laps of a short (2.5–3.5 km or 1.5–2 mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstruction and remount. Races for senior categories are generally between 40 minutes and an hour long, with the distance varying depending on the ground conditions. The sport is strongest in the traditional road cycling countries such as Belgium (Flanders in particular), France and the Netherlands. Exact Cross
The Exact Cross is a season-long cyclo-cross competition, formerly known as the Ethias Cross and the Brico Cross, consisting of 8 rounds throughout the season in Belgium and the Netherlands. It is one of five season-long competitions, alongside the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, Cyclo-cross Superprestige, the X²O Badkamers Trophy (formerly known as the DVV Trophy, before that the BPost Bank Trophy and before that as the Gazet van Antwerpen trophy) and the Toi Toi Cup, HSF System Cup. In contrast to the other competitions, the Exact Cross does not award points or compose an overall ranking, but rather consists of separate races. Sponsored by the Belgian hardware chain Brico for the first three seasons and then by the Belgian insurance company Ethias from 2019 to 2022, its main sponsor is the enterprise software provider Exact (company), Exact. Toon Aerts (born 19 October 1993 in Malle) is a Belgian professional cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Aerts is a two-time winner of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup standings ( 2018–19, 2019–20), and also won the men's elite race at the 2016 European Championships and the 2019 Belgian National Championships. His brother Thijs is also a professional cyclist. On 18 August 2023, the UCI announced that Aerts had been found guilty of a doping violation, and was banned for two years from February 2022 to February 2024.
