Cutter Gauthier
William Cutter Ruel Gauthier (born January 19, 2004) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted fifth overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 NHL entry draft. Personal life Gauthier is the son of Canadian former professional goaltender Sean Gauthier, whose career included a brief appearance with the San Jose Sharks. He was born during his father's playing stint in Sweden. Growing up in Arizona, Gauthier's favorite team was the Pittsburgh Penguins and his favorite player was Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby. Playing career Gauthier competed at the 2022 BioSteel All-American Game. In his freshman season at Boston College, he was the Eagles' leading point and goal scorer, with 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 32 games. The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), sometimes referred to as World Juniors, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. It is traditionally held in late December, ending in early January (beginning from Boxing Day to January 5). The tournament usually attracts the top hockey players in this age category. The 2025 IIHF World Championship was co-hosted by Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark, from 9 to 25 May 2025. Alexander Augustus Lyon (born December 9, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played collegiately for the Yale Bulldogs men's ice hockey team, competing in the ECAC. Early life Lyon was born on December 9, 1992, in Baudette, Minnesota. For the first seven years of his life, Lyon and his older sister Sam grew up on an island in Lake of the Woods, and he attended school for one year at a small schoolhouse.
