Kyla La Grange
Kyla La Grange (born 25 July 1986) is an English singer and songwriter from Watford, England. Career Early life She studied at Rickmansworth School in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire. Her mother is South African, while her father is from Rhodesia (modern-day Zimbabwe) though both live in England. She achieved a 2.1 in philosophy, studying at Pembroke College, Cambridge from 2004 to 2007. In June 2012, Kyla headlined the ''Guardian'' New Band of the Day gig. ''Ashes'' (2011–2012) Kyla had early success on the Amazing Radio new music chart. 'Walk Through Walls' was number one for five weeks in March and April 2011, and 'Been Better' topped the chart for 4 weeks in July. These were subsequently the top two songs in the year-end chart. James Edward Jacob (born 28 March 1989), better known by his stage name Jakwob, is a British music producer, songwriter, DJ and composer. Early life Jacob was born in Hereford and grew up in Lincoln. His parents are Anglo Indian and Scottish. Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (; born 11 September 1991), known professionally as Kygo (), is a Norwegian DJ and music producer. He first received international attention with his December 2013 remix of the track " I See Fire" by Ed Sheeran and his December 2014 single " Firestone" (featuring Conrad Sewell). In late 2015, he reached one billion streams on Spotify faster than any other artist, and by June 2016, he had reached two billion streams. Tropical house, also known as trop house, is a subgenre of house music, and a derivation of tropical music, with elements of dancehall and Balearic house. Artists of the genre are often featured at various summer festivals such as Tomorrowland. The genre was popularized by artists including Thomas Jack, Klangkarussell, Kygo, Klingande, Robin Schulz, Bakermat, Matoma, Lost Frequencies, Felix Jaehn, Seeb and Gryffin. "Firestone" is a song by Norwegian DJ and record producer Kygo, featuring vocals from Australian singer Conrad Sewell. It was released on 1 December 2014 and reached number one on the Norwegian Singles Chart and became a big international hit for Kygo on many other charts. Birdy performed a cover of the song on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. In 2020, Dutch TV host and music producer Arjen Lubach claimed in his autobiography ''Stoorzender'' to be the co-creator of an early demo of the song. According to his account, his friend and fellow musician Martijn Konijnenburg sold the song without giving credits or royalties. Konijnenburg has denied the allegations.
