Curiosity was an online education website. The site aggregated content from various online educational and instructional resources (such as courses, articles, and videos), which could be filtered by subjects and topics, course cost, and other factors. History Curiosity was originally founded by Gabe Vehovsky, Discovery Communications chief of digital strategy and digital businesses. He saw Curiosity as a "vertically centric marketplace" for online learning. In November 2014, Curiosity was spun out of Discovery with Vehovsky as CEO; Discovery remains a content partner for the service. A series A is the name typically given to a company's first significant round of venture capital financing. It can be followed by the word round, investment or financing. The name refers to the class of preferred stock sold to investors in exchange for their investment. It is usually the first series of stock after the common stock and common stock options issued to company founders, employees, friends and family and angel investors. Series A rounds are traditionally a critical stage in the funding of new companies. Series A investors typically purchase 10% to 30% of the company. Pritzker Family
The Pritzker family is an American family engaged in various business enterprises and philanthropy, and one of the wealthiest families in the United States (staying in the top 10 of ''Forbes'' magazine's "America's Richest Families" list since the magazine began such listings in 1982). Curiosity Stream Inc. (simply referred to as Curiosity Stream), formerly branded as CuriosityStream, is an American media company and over-the-top subscription video streaming service that offers documentary programming including films, series, and TV shows. The company offers a video-on-demand subscription service branded as "Curiosity Stream" and a linear broadcast television channel known as the Curiosity Channel through various services such as FuboTV and The Roku Channel.
