Cured Duck
''Cured Duck'' is a 1945 American animated cartoon produced by Walt Disney and directed by Jack King. It stars Clarence Nash as the voice of Donald and Gloria Blondell as the voice of Daisy, respectively. The cartoon features Donald going to visit Daisy, but his temper control problems cause him to wreck the house and get kicked out. To cure himself of his temper, he gets a machine that proceeds to deliver physical and angering abuse. Plot Donald decides to visit Daisy at her home. Daisy is first annoyed by Donald blowing smoke from his cigar into her face. Daisy asks Donald to open the windows. Donald struggles and strains to open it, but it won't budge. Donald strains so hard his face sweats, turns red and goes ballistic, and he nearly tears the house apart with his straining, but still the window doesn't move. James Patton "Jack" King (November 4, 1895 – October 4, 1958)Lenburg (2006), pp. 179-180 was an American animator and short film director best known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Productions. Career According to Jeff Lenburg's assessment of him, King was an early pioneer of animation. His films were nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. He started his career in the silent film era. He spent most of his career working at Walt Disney Productions (later known as the Walt Disney Animation Studios). He directed many well-regarded films. King was born in 1895 in Birmingham, Alabama. He started his animation career in 1920, working at Bray Productions animation studio. Daisy Duck is an American cartoon character created by the Walt Disney Company. She is an Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic white duck that has large eyelashes and ruffled tail feathers around her lowest region to suggest a skirt. She is often seen wearing a hair bow, blouse and heeled shoes. The girlfriend of Donald Duck, Daisy was introduced in the short film ''Mr. Duck Steps Out'' (1940) and was incorporated into Donald's Donald Duck in comics, comic stories several months later.
