Cure (album)
''Cure'' (stylized as '' ure') is the sixth studio album by American progressive metalcore band Erra. It was released on April 5, 2024, through UNFD and was produced by Daniel Braunstein. It is the first album to feature guitarist Clint Tustin. Background and promotion In March 2023, the band played a headlining tour in Europe with bands Silent Planet, Invent Animate and Sentinels. Following their European headline tour, the band entered the studio with Dan Braunstein to record new material. The band would add Clint Tustin as the secondary guitarist to the band after touring with the band for a year. On August 16, the band released the first single "Pale Iris" and its corresponding music video. On February 1, 2024, Erra announced the album itself and release date. At the same time, they released the title track and video for "Cure", whilst also revealing the album cover and the track list. Erra (stylized in all caps as ERRA) is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Erra (god), Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released six studio albums and three EPs to date. ''Kerrang!'' is a British music webzine and quarterly magazine that primarily covers rock, punk and heavy metal music. Since 2017, the magazine has been published by Wasted Talent Ltd (the same company that owns electronic music publication '' Mixmag''). The magazine was named onomatopoeically after the sound of a "guitar being struck with force". ''Kerrang!'' was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off "Heavy Metal Special" from the now-defunct '' Sounds'' newspaper. Graspop Metal Meeting is a Belgian heavy metal festival held in Dessel each year since 1996, excluding 2020 and 2021 due to covid restrictions. Despite the small size of the festival grounds (upholding a perimeter of only ~4 km) the festival draws a large number of spectators from around the world, with a total of 220,000 visitors in 2022 and 2023, up from 200,000 visitors over the course of the 2019 edition, and 152,000 in 2015.
