Cry (The Used Song)
"Cry" is a song by American rock band the Used, and was released as the first single for their sixth studio album '' Imaginary Enemy''. It was released to radio and music video in January 2014. Release On January 20, 2014, the Used released a sample of "Cry" on their Instagram page. The song was released with an accompanying music video a week later on January 27, 2014. Background The Used's lead singer, Bert McCracken, explained that "Cry" was about the fight between love and conflict and that he believed everyone has experienced a loss of control while in a relationship. Reception AAA Music said that while Cry departed from the band's "cry-hard songs" of the 2000s, the lyrics aligned with The Used's image. The Used
The Used is an American rock band from Orem, Utah, that formed in 2001. The group consists of vocalist Bert McCracken, bassist Jeph Howard, drummer Dan Whitesides, and guitarist Joey Bradford. Former members include Quinn Allman, Branden Steineckert, and Justin Shekoski. The group signed to Reprise Records and rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their self-titled debut album. They followed up with their second album, ''In Love and Death'', in September 2004 and their third album, '' Lies for the Liars'', in May 2007. ''Shallow Believer'', an EP that featured most of the band's B-sides, was released in February 2008. Their fourth studio album, ''Artwork'', was released in August 2009. The Ocean Of The Sky
''The Ocean of the Sky'' is an EP by American rock band the Used, released on July 9, 2013. It is available as a digital download and in compact disc format. A vinyl format was released in September 2013. It peaked at No. 20 on the alternative chart and No. 108 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Release In July, the group played two weeks on the Warped Tour. Around this, the band surprise released ''The Ocean of the Sky'' EP on July digitally with physical copies available on the Warped Tour. The following day, a music video was released for "Iddy Biddy". On August 15, the band released a documentary on the making of the EP. On September 19, music videos were released for "Quixotica", "Thought Criminal" and "The Ocean of the Sky". Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). Auto-Tune (or autotune) is an audio processor introduced in 1996 by American company Antares Audio Technologies. Auto-Tune uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. ''Imaginary Enemy'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band the Used. It is the first album released on, and the second label the band created and own, GAS Union. Imaginary Enemy is the final album to feature guitarist Quinn Allman before he parted from the band in November 2015. Recording The album was produced by John Feldmann, who also produced all of the band's studio albums with the exception of Artwork. In an interview with Jeph, he stated that they recorded the album "backwards" by having the vocals recorded first and then having the music written to the vocals. It is the first time they have recorded like this and did so because they were unhappy with the sound of the songs when recording the music so they scrapped the dozen songs they had written and tried something new.
