Crush (1992 Film)
''Crush'' is a 1992 New Zealand drama film directed by Alison Maclean. It was winner of four film awards and was entered into the 1992 Cannes Film Festival. Plot While driving through New Zealand so that literary critic Christina can interview author Colin Iseman, Lane crashes their car. Christina is hospitalized with severe injuries while Lane is able to walk away with only a mild head injury. The following day Lane goes to Colin's home where she meets Colin's teenage daughter Angela, whom she initially mistakes for a boy. Lane takes Angela out drinking and the two quickly become friends. After meeting her briefly when she spends the night Colin becomes infatuated with her and the two sleep together. In the meantime, Christina slowly recovers and starts to remember the events, but has limited mental capabilities. Alison Maclean (born July 31, 1958) is a Canadian-New Zealand film director of music videos, short films, television (episodes of ''Sex and the City'', ''The Tudors'', '' Homicide: Life on the Street''), commercials and feature films. Her works include the music video " Torn" ( Natalie Imbruglia, 1997), the short film ''Kitchen Sink'' (1989) and the feature films '' Jesus' Son'' (1999) (starring Billy Crudup) and '' Crush'' (1992) (starring Marcia Gay Harden). Harata Solomon
Harata Ria Te Uira Solomon (née Parata; 22 January 1925 – 20 July 1993) was a notable New Zealand teacher, entertainer, community leader and leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of Māori descent, she identified with the Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Toa and Te Āti Awa iwi. She was born in Ōtaki, New Zealand, in 1925. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a local leader in the Relief Society. Opera Australia Orchestra
The Opera Australia Orchestra (based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is a full-time salaried orchestra, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Opera Australia. It is one of three salaried orchestras in Sydney, along with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. The OAO performs almost exclusively in the Opera House Orchestra pit of the Joan Sutherland Theatre. Peter Bruce Smith (7 August 1958 – 29 January 2022) was a New Zealand actor.
