(formerly known as The Right Stuf International Inc.) was an American video publisher and distributor of video programming that specialized in Asian entertainment (anime and live action films). It had several divisions including: Nozomi Entertainment (production) and RightStufAnime.com (online store). In March 2012, Right Stuf launched 5 Points Pictures, its live action label. Right Stuf also offered production services and distribution for Japanese labels Sunrise Inc., Eleven Arts, Pony Canyon, and its corporate sibling, Aniplex of America. Right Stuf was founded in July 1987, by Robert "Todd" Ferson and Shawne P. Kleckner. The company was headquartered in Grimes, Iowa. In August 2022, Right Stuf was acquired by Sony Group Corporation, and made a part of the Crunchyroll brand. Pure Romance was a United States-based multi-level marketing company that sells adult products including sex toys. In May 2023, the company announced it was moving away from the MLM model to become essentially a retail business. History Patty Brisben, a former pediatrician's assistant, founded the company, then named Slumber Parties in Loveland, Ohio 1993. Her business used contract salespeople to sell sex toys, lotions, and massage oils through at-home parties. In 2000, the company had six full-time employees and had annual sales of less than $2 million. ''Princess Knight'', also known as ''Ribon no Kishi'', is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. This manga follows the adventures of Sapphire, a girl who was born accidentally with a blue heart of a boy and a pink heart of a girl. She pretends to be a prince to prevent the evil Duke Duralumin from taking over the kingdom through his son, Plastic. The gender-bending main character was inspired by the all-female musical theater group Takarazuka Revue in which women performed both female and male roles.
