Crugie
Crugie (born Christopher Riccio) is an American-born guitarist, singer-songwriter and visual artist from Princeton, NJ. He is known for his ‘90s Hoboken, NJ rock band Cycomotogoat, his work on the John Popper (of Blues Traveler) solo album ''Zygote'', and his co-starring role in the Cory McAbee film '' Stingray Sam''. He now lives in New York and is half of the songwriting and recording duo Super User Friendly. Career Crugie formed punk band The Disturbed in 1981 in Princeton, NJ with drummer "Stroller" Ben White and bass player Dave Wilder. The band played at local high schools, Princeton University eating clubs, Maxwell's in Hoboken, CBGB in New York, and the Princeton "Teen Cafe." After graduating from high school in 1986, the band moved to Providence, RI and played local clubs like Rocket. They released the 8-song EP ''Totalled Volvo'' in 1987. Zygote (album)
''Zygote'' is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter John Popper. Produced by Terry Manning, it was released on September 7, 1999, less than a month after the death of bassist Bobby Sheehan (musician), Bobby Sheehan (Popper's friend and fellow member of the band Blues Traveler). Accompanying Popper on the album were drummer Carter Beauford (of the Dave Matthews Band) and guitarist Crugie, Crugie Riccio, keyboardist Rob Clores and bassist Dave Ares (all three from Cycomotogoat). John Popper (born March 29, 1967) is an American musician and songwriter, known as the co-founder, lead vocalist, and frontman of the rock band Blues Traveler. Early life Popper was born on March 29, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio. His father was a Hungarian immigrant who left Budapest in 1948. Popper has stated that he is a distant relative of David Popper, a 19th-century Bohemian cellist. Popper was raised in Stamford, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Dave Matthews Band (also known as DMB) is an American rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia. Carter Beauford
Carter Anthony Beauford (born November 2, 1958) is an American drummer, percussionist, and founding member of Dave Matthews Band. He is known for his ability to adapt to a variety of genres, and both his ambidextrous and his open-handed drumming styles. He plays the drums and sings backing vocals in the band. Beauford was ranked number 10 by a ''Rolling Stone'' magazine reader's poll in 2010 for the greatest drummers of all time. Background Beauford was first exposed to the drums at age three. At the time, his father had bought tickets to a Buddy Rich concert and could not find someone to watch his son, so he took young Beauford along to the show. God Street Wine (also known as GSW) is a jam band from New York City. Their music is an amalgam of rock, jazz, bluegrass, funk, psychedelia, pop, Americana, reggae, progressive, and more. The band broke up in 1999 and reunited in 2009. GSW played a significant role in the development of the improvisational jam band scene of the early 1990s.
