''Cruelty'' () is a 2016 Icelandic film written and directed by Anton Sigurðsson. In ''Cruelty'', two young sisters from Reykjavík are found murdered, and the two best police detectives try to solve the case. In 2017, ''Cruelty'' was nominated for awards at the Filmfest Hamburg and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Margrét Vilhjálmsdóttir was nominated for Actress of the Year at the Edda Awards. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) is an eleven-day film festival held in Santa Barbara, California in February annually, since 1986.
