Alexander Crombie Royal Society of London, FRS (1760–1840) was a Scottish Presbyterianism, Presbyterian minister, schoolmaster and philosopher. Biography He was born in Aberdeen on 17 July 1760, the son of Thomas Crombie. Crombie Settlement is a Canadian rural community in Victoria County, New Brunswick. Overview Some current residents of Crombie Settlement claim that the settlement was founded by a man named John Crombie, not to be confused the founder of Crombie, a clothing line. Thomas Crombie Schelling (April 14, 1921 – December 13, 2016) was an American economist and professor of foreign policy, national security, nuclear strategy, and arms control at the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park. He was also co-faculty at the New England Complex Systems Institute. Anthony John Kronenberg (27 August 1925 – 18 October 1999), known professionally as Tony Crombie, was an English jazz drummer, pianist, bandleader, and composer. He was regarded as one of the finest English jazz drummers and bandleaders, an occasional but capable pianist and vibraphonist, and an energizing influence on the British jazz scene over six decades. Geoffrey Noel Crombie (born 17 April 1953) is a New Zealand percussionist and former member of the band Split Enz. He fulfilled multiple roles including costume and hair designer, singer, album cover designer, and music video director. Prior to Split Enz, Crombie worked as a postal assistant and was also an artist. He attended Mana College and then moved to Auckland to study art at Elam School of Fine Arts. For the album '' Time and Tide'', Crombie took over the role of drummer, though a year later returned to percussion, with Paul Hester becoming Split Enz's drummer. He is particularly remembered for playing spoon solos during Split Enz live shows. Lillian Crombie (1958 – 3 January 2024), also known as "Aunty Lillian", was an Aboriginal Australian actress and dancer, known for her work on stage, film and television. Early life and education Lillian Crombie was born in 1958. She was of the Pitjantjatjara/ Yankunytjatjara people of central Australia, but was taken from her parents at the age of seven and never saw them again. She grew up in a loving home with foster parents in Port Pirie, South Australia. Crombie trained in classical ballet at the Port Pirie Ballet School, before winning a scholarship to Dance Concert Limited in Sydney, which started at the beginning of 1975, when she was 16.
