Croatian Venezuelans () are Venezuelans of full, partial, or predominantly Croat descent, or Croat-born people residing in Venezuela. It is estimated that 5,000 Croats live in Venezuela. History Croatian immigration to Venezuela dates back to the late nineteenth century, and was characterized by the individual arrival of merchant seamen. Until World War I, a few number of Croats settle in Venezuela, nevertheless it is in the period of the World War II when the Croatian families that escaped from the government of Tito begin to settle in the country. Most of these immigrants came from present-day Croatian territory, particularly from the coastal and inland areas of Dalmatia. Others came from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark (''née'' Tatiana Ellinka Blatnik, 27 August 1980) is a Venezuelan publicist, event planner, and writer. She is a member of the former Greek royal family and the Danish royal family as the wife of Prince Nikolaos, son of Constantine II, who reigned as King of Greece until the monarchy was abolished in 1973. Ratomir Dujković
Ratomir Dujković (Serbian Cyrillic: Ратомир Дујковић, born 24 February 1946) is a Serbian football manager and a former player. Playing career Born and raised in Borovo Naselje to an ethnic Serb family, Dujković attended Ivan Goran Kovačić primary school, where he was initially active as a handball goalkeeper. He was spotted there by Josip Kezdi, at that point an ex-goalkeeper for NK Borovo, who suggested he try football. He took his advice and soon became a goalkeeper in NK Borovo, before earning a move to NK Osijek. On 29 November 1962, NK Osijek juniors took part in the Yugoslav Republic Day tournament in Belgrade where 16-year-old Dujković impressed so much that powerhouse Red Star Belgrade immediately offered a move to their youth system. Branko Benzon
Branko Benzon (29 August 1903 – September 1970) was a Croatian physician, diplomat and politician. Pre-war life Benzon was born in Postira, on the island Brač in 1903. He attended medical school at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Medicine where he specialized in cardiology. He published a number of works dealing with pathology and the treatment of heart disease. Soon he became primarius of the section for heart diseases in Merkur's Sanatorium in Zagreb. Even though he was a respectable doctor, he was fired in 1932 for his political attitudes. He was member of the Ustaše branch in Croatia with a pro-German orientation. When Vladko Maček filed a complaint against him to the court, Benzon fled to Slovakia. Soon he emigrated to Germany where he led the radio-station, "Velebit". The University of the Andes (Spanish: ''Universidad de Los Andes'', ULA) is the second-oldest university in Venezuela, whose main campus is located in the city of Mérida, Venezuela. Yaracuy
Yaracuy State ( es, link=no, Estado Yaracuy, ;) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. It is bordered by Falcón in the north, in the west by Lara, in the south by Portuguesa and Cojedes and in the east by Cojedes and Carabobo.
