Cristo Marrero Henríquez (born 10 November 1978) is a Spanish former Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. He spent six seasons in the Segunda División with CD Tenerife, Tenerife, for whom he appeared in 169 competitive matches. Club career Born in San Miguel de Abona, Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Marrero started playing football at local side UD Las Zocas, where he stayed for 17 years, never making it past the Tercera División during his four seasons as a senior. Marrero signed with Canary Islands neighbours CD Tenerife in summer 2001, but still spent a further two years with CD Tenerife B, their reserves. He made his Segunda División debut on 31 August 2003 against Deportivo Alavés, and went on to become Captain (association football), captain. Segunda División B
Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The Segunda División B included the reserve teams of a number of La Liga and Segunda División teams.
