Twenty20
Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of twenty over (cricket), overs. Together with First-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being played at the highest level, both internationally and domestically. A typical Twenty20 match lasts just over 3 hours, with each innings lasting around 90 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. South Asian Games
The South Asian Games is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among athletes from South Asia. The South Asia Olympic Council, which was formed in 1983, governs it. The Games consist of seven countries, namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan had participated in the Games four times, but left the SAOC after participating in 2016. The first South Asian Games were hosted by Kathmandu, Nepal in 1984. From 1984 to 1987 they were held every year except 1986, as it was a year of Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. From 1987 onwards, they have been held every two years except for some occasions. In 2004, the South Asian Sports Council decided to rename the games from the South Asian Federation Games to the South Asian Games as officials believed the word federation was diminishing the emphasis on the event and acting as a barrier to attracting spectators. The Pokhara Rangasala () is a multi-purpose stadium in Pokhara, Gandaki Province, Nepal. It has a capacity of 18,500 spectators. The venue is located to the south of Pokhara at Rambazaar on the eastern bank of Seti Gandaki River, Seti river. Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, commonly known as TU Cricket Ground or simply TU Ground (), is a cricket stadium located in Kirtipur, near Kathmandu, Nepal. Situated within the premises of Tribhuvan University, it is the most renowned cricket venue in Nepal. History The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1998 when Bangladesh played Singapore in the 1998 ACC Trophy. Nepal took part in the inaugural Intercontinental Cup with the matches in the competition having first-class status. The ground held its first first-class match when Nepal hosted Malaysia. Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings. The first T20I match took place on 17 February 2005 between Australia and New Zealand, with the first ICC T20 World Cup held in 2007.
