Cregger Center
The Cregger Center is a multi-purpose athletic and recreation facility in Salem, Virginia. Charles Moir Court is a 2,500 seat arena that houses the Roanoke College Men's and Women's basketball and volleyball teams. Kerr-Cregger Field House is the college's indoor track and field facility that serves as the home of the track & field teams for indoor events. Namesake The Cregger Center is named for Morris Cregger, founder of the Cregger Company of Columbia, South Carolina and an alumnus of Roanoke College graduating in 1964. Mr. Cregger played basketball and ran on the track and field team at the college. He also serves on the Roanoke College Board of Trustees as its chairman. The Roanoke Maroons are the athletic teams that represent Roanoke College, located in Salem, Virginia, a suburban independent city adjacent to Roanoke, Virginia. Salem, Virginia
Salem is an independent city in the U.S. commonwealth of Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,346. Volleyball

Charles Moir
Charles Robert Moir (November 29, 1930 – November 14, 2019) was an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team from 1976 until his resignation in October 1987. During his 11 seasons at Virginia Tech, Moir's Hokies compiled a 213–119 record. He was forced to resign after the discovery of severe NCAA violations. Including his time at Tech and coaching stints in high school and at Roanoke College and Tulane University, Moir compiled a career record of 616–238 in his 31 seasons as a high school and college head coach. NCAA Division II (D-II) is the intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
