Credit To The Nation
Credit to the Nation are a British hip hop group, who had chart success in the 1990s and are best known for their Nirvana-sampling single "Call It What You Want". The band is fronted by Matty Hanson (a.k.a. MC Fusion) and was initially noted for fusing a conscious hip hop style with political elements taken from the British left-wing and anarchist movements. Following their initial split in 1998, the band reformed in 2011. Career Formation and early years Credit to the Nation were formed in the early 1990s by Matthew (Matty) David Hanson (b. Enough Is Enough is an anti-fascist protest single from Chumbawamba and Credit to the Nation, on Chumbawamba's album ''Anarchy''. It reached #56 on UK charts in 1993 and was supported by a music video. History The b-side, "Hear No Bullshit (On Fire Mix)", is a remix of the Credit to the Nation single "Hear No Bullshit See No Bullshit Say No Bullshit" released the same year, and samples Chumbawamba's Song "Mouthful of Shit" from their album ''Anarchy''. The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy were an American hip-hop musical ensemble, active during the early 1990s. The band was formed in 1990 by Michael Franti (vocals, production, misc. instruments) and Rono Tse (drums, percussion, programming), who had worked together in The Beatnigs. They released two albums, the critically acclaimed '' Hypocrisy Is the Greatest Luxury'' in 1992, and '' Spare Ass Annie and Other Tales'' (with William S. Burroughs) in 1993. Their first live performance was on August 23, 1991 at the Kennel Club in San Francisco. The group was associated with contemporary bands, including House of Pain and Pop Will Eat Itself. Therapy?
Therapy? are a Northern Irish rock band from Larne, formed in 1989 by guitarist-vocalist Andy Cairns and drummer-vocalist Fyfe Ewing. Therapy? recorded their first demo with Cairns filling in on bass guitar. To complete the lineup, the band recruited Larne bassist Michael McKeegan. The band signed with major label A&M Records in 1992, for which they released four albums, most notably '' Troublegum'' in 1994 and '' Infernal Love'' in 1995. Ewing's departure in early 1996 preceded the arrivals of his replacement Graham Hopkins, as well as Martin McCarrick on guitar and cello. Neil Cooper replaced Hopkins in 2002.
