Crailtap is a skateboarding distribution company based in Torrance, California, United States. The distribution company is home to Girl Skateboards, Chocolate Skateboards, Royal Skateboard Trucks, and Fourstar Clothing. Girl Skateboards History Girl Skateboards, the inaugural brand of the company, originated in 1993 after a selection of team riders from World Industries - notably Mike Carroll and Rick Howard - decided to found their own brand. Howard explained in a 2000 interview: Part of the reason we started Girl was so pro skateboarders would have a future. Take Royal, for instance. Jerry Hsu
Jerry Hsu (born December 17, 1981) is a Taiwanese-American skateboarder, photographer and currently owner of clothing company "Sci-Fi Fantasy". As of October 2018, Hsu does not have pro status in skateboarding anymore and has no sponsors. Early life As of 2007, Hsu's family home remains located in San Jose, California, United States (U.S.). Hsu's family is originally from Taiwan, and his parents speak both English and Mandarin Chinese. Hsu explained in 2010 that his Chinese-language fluency is akin to a "third grader." Tony Ferguson (born May 4, 1973) is a professional skateboarder and company owner. He was an original member of the Girl Skateboards team and is a partner in the Alife Footwear brand. Early life Tony was born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 4, 1973. His early years were spent in Ottawa, Ontario where he began skateboarding at age 12. His family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1990. In 1994, he was living in Los Angeles, California. Michael Capaldi (born March 27, 1990), popularly known as Mike Mo Capaldi, is a professional regular-footed skateboarder who gained popularity following his video part in ''Forecast'', a video produced by professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez. Early life Capaldi originates from Simi Valley, California, and attended Royal High School. Brian Anderson (born June 12, 1976) is a professional skateboarder based in Queens, New York City. Biography Early life Anderson is a native of the U.S. state of Connecticut. Cory Kennedy (born October 4, 1990) is an American professional skateboarder. Skateboarding Kennedy first came to prominence after winning the amateur competition "Bang Yo'self 2", for which contestants were required to submit video parts to the judges from '' The Berrics'' website. In 2009, Kennedy finished in third place at "The Battle at the Berrics 2" contest, losing to Paul Rodriguez in the finals round. In October 2009, the trailer for the full-length skateboard video ''Beware of Sasquatch'' was released, in which Kennedy appears in a part spanning just under 10 minutes, alongside skateboarders such as David Gravette and Vince de Valle. Colin McKay (born August 29, 1975) is a Canadian professional skateboarder who is widely recognized for his involvement with the original Plan B Skateboards "superteam" (bunch of OG's) as well as the subsequent relaunch of the brand in 2005. ''Yeah Right!'' is notable for its soundtrack, length, and the extensive use of never-before-seen (in a skateboarding video) special effects. In his book ''Skateboard Video'', Duncan McDuie-Ra considers ''Yeah Right!'' one of the four "finalists" of the skateboard video canon. Rick McCrank (born January 23, 1976) is a Canadian professional skateboarder, television host, skate shop owner, and skate company co-owner. Early life McCrank was born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, but grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Professional skateboarding McCrank's first deck sponsor was Cherry Bombs, a small Canadian brand.
