Craig Zonca
Craig Zonca is an Australian radio and television presenter. He is currently a breakfast presenter on ABC Radio Brisbane and a weather presenter on ABC Television (Australian TV network), ABC Television. After presenting the Queensland edition of ''The Country Hour'' for several years, Zonca was announced as ABC Radio Brisbane's new breakfast presenter to replace long-serving host Spencer Howson in late 2016. In late 2017, it was announced Zonca would co-present the program in 2018 alongside Rebecca Levingston. Levingston was later replaced in that time slot by fellow presenter Loretta Ryan. Since his time hosting the program, Zonca has maintained a healthy audience share for the program in a much-publicised ratings battle with the breakfast program on commercial rival Nova 106.9. A nova ( novae or novas) is a transient astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a bright, apparently "new" star (hence the name "nova", Latin for "new") that slowly fades over weeks or months. All observed novae involve white dwarfs in close binary systems, but causes of the dramatic appearance of a nova vary, depending on the circumstances of the two progenitor stars. The main sub-classes of novae are classical novae, recurrent novae (RNe), and dwarf novae. They are all considered to be cataclysmic variable stars. Classical nova eruptions are the most common type. This type is usually created in a close binary star system consisting of a white dwarf and either a main sequence, subgiant, or red giant star. ABC Capricornia
4RK, better known as ABC Capricornia is one of the ABC's original regional radio stations, predating the corporation's inception on 1 July 1932. 4RK, as it was known at the time, began broadcasting on 29 July 1931 and was owned by the Australian Broadcasting Company. The power was initially 2 kilowatts. The transmitting equipment was established by Keith Thow of STC. The station became part of the ABC in 1932, but retained its original callsign. The station was the second regional ABC radio station in Australia and celebrated its 75th birthday in 2006. The station broadcasts to the region on two powerful AM transmitters – the 4RK transmitter at Gracemere (broadcasting on 837 AM) and the 4QD transmitter at Emerald (broadcasting on 1548 AM). Rockhampton is a city in the Rockhampton Region of Central Queensland, Australia. In the , the population of Rockhampton was 79,293. A common nickname for Rockhampton is "Rocky", and the demonym of Rockhampton is Rockhamptonite.
