Craig Tyzzer
Craig Tyzzer is an Australian tennis coach and a former ATP tennis player from 1979 to 1983. He coached Ashleigh Barty from 2016 - 2022 when she retired. Coaching career He won the WTA Coach of the Year award in 2019. In preparation for Barty's return from an 11-month break, Tyzzer arranged matches with male tennis players in the lead-up to the 2021 Australian Open. WTA Elite Trophy
The WTA Elite Trophy is the second-tier year-end professional women's tennis tournament on the WTA Tour. It is the successor event of the different format WTA Tournament of Champions, which took place from 2009–14. The Elite Trophy takes place at the end of each season, in two disciplines: singles and doubles. The singles event features 12 players (11 of them ranked from 9th to 19th on the final table of the WTA ranking, and one wildcard). The players are split into four groups of three, with the group winners advancing to the single elimination semifinals. The doubles championships features six teams in two groups with the group winners contesting the final. WTA Premier Tournaments was a category of tennis tournaments in the Women's Tennis Association tour, implemented from the reorganization of the schedule in 2009 until 2020. In 2020, Premier events included: * Four "Premier Mandatory" events in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, and Beijing with prize money of $4.5 million. * Five "Premier 5" events in Doha, Rome, Cincinnati, Toronto/Montreal, and Wuhan with prize money of $2 million. * Twelve "Premier" events with prize money of $600,000 to $1,000,000. Ashleigh Barty defeated the defending champion Elina Svitolina in the final, 6–4, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2019 WTA Finals.
