Craig Redmon
Craig Redmon (born January 29, 1959) is a Republican former member of the Missouri House of Representatives. He represented the 4th District, which encompasses all of Clark, Knox, Lewis, Schuyler, and Scotland counties as well as the eastern half of Adair County east of U.S Highway 63, excluding the city of Kirksville. Most of this was previously the Missouri 1st District, also represented by Redmon, prior to Missouri House redistricting due to the 2010 U.S. Census. Personal history Redmon was born in Kirksville, Missouri and is a 1977 graduate of Highland High School in Lewis County. Following graduation he attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, receiving a degree in business administration and economics in 1982. He is married to Brenda (Shouse) Redmon and they are the parents of twins Andrew and Audrey. Brian Munzlinger
Brian Munzlinger (born April 24, 1956) is an American politician and farmer from the state of Missouri. A Republican, he is a former member of the Missouri Senate who served the 18th District from 2011 to 2019. Personal Brian Munzlinger was born in Quincy, Illinois but raised in rural Lewis County, Missouri. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, with a B.S. degree in general agriculture. Munzlinger, a third-generation Missouri farmer, his wife, Michele and their two children reside on their farm near Williamstown, Missouri. Adair County is a county located in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. The population census for 2020 was 25,314. As of July 1, 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau's Population Estimates for the county is 25,185, a -0.5% change. Adair county seat is Kirksville. The county was first settled by immigrants from Kentucky and organized on January 29, 1841. Adair County comprises the Kirksville, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. History The first permanent settlement in Adair County began in 1828. Many of the first settlers were from Adair County in Kentucky, for which the Missouri county was named. The county in Kentucky was named for John Adair, a respected Governor of Kentucky. Monticello is a rural village in, and county seat of, Lewis County, Missouri, United States, along the North Fabius River. The population was 104 at the 2020 census, and according to this census, Monticello is the county seat with the smallest population in the State of Missouri. The town is named in honor of President Thomas Jefferson's estate in Virginia. Monticello is part of the Quincy, IL–MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Following the establishment of Lewis County on January 2, 1833 two commissioners, Stephen Cleaver and Joshua Fensel, were tasked with finding a suitable location for the county seat. Scotland County, Missouri
Scotland County is a county in northeastern Missouri. As of the 2020 census, its population was 4,716, making it Missouri's seventh-least populous county. Its county seat is Memphis. The county was organized on January 29, 1841, and named for Scotland. History The Missouri General Assembly organized Scotland County on January 29, 1841. At first its boundaries contained all the land now known as Knox County as well, but in 1843 the General Assembly divided it off. Stephen W. B. Carnegy suggested that the county be named after his native Scotland. He also gave several settlements in the area Scottish names. The first white settlement in Scotland County was in 1833 by brothers Levi and George Rhodes and their families near a location known as Sand Hill.
