Craig Dietrich
Craig Dietrich is a digital artist and educator affiliated with Occidental College in Los Angeles. History Dietrich began his multimedia career as an Exhibit Engineering Assistant at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California. He attended Adrian C. Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, California. In 2008, he was a professor in the University of Maine New Media Department and continues as a researcher at UMaine's Still Water lab. Beginning in 2009, before moving to the Claremont Colleges, he was on the faculty of the Division of Media Arts and Practice, part of the School of Cinematic Arts, at the University of Southern California (USC), where he taught media studies and multimedia production. Digital Artist
Digital art, or the digital arts, is artistic work that uses digital technology as part of the creative or presentational process. It can also refer to computational art that uses and engages with digital media. Since the 1960s, various names have been used to describe digital art, including computer art, electronic art, multimedia art, and new media art. Digital art includes pieces stored on physical media, such as with digital painting, and galleries on websites. This extenuates to the field known as Visual Computation. Warumungu
The Warumungu (or Warramunga) are a group of Aboriginal Australians of the Northern Territory. Today, Warumungu are mainly concentrated in the region of Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. Warumungu language calls Alice Springs ''Warm Springs'', and this is its original name. Language Their language is Warumungu language, Warumungu. It is similar to the Warlpiri language, Warlpiri spoken by the Warlpiri people. It is a suffixing language, in which verbs are formed by adding a tense suffix (although some verbs are formed by Compound (linguistics), compounding a preverb). Lincoln Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was originally called "East Los Angeles" from 1873 to 1917. Erik Loyer is a digital artist whose work examines identity and memory in the context of new modes of communications afforded by media technologies. History Loyer began his work at The Voyager Company, and has done professional interface design work for a number of firms and startups. Killer Entertainments
Killer Entertainments is a project by Jenny Terry and Raegan Kelly addressing the role of video in the Iraq War. It attempts to answer the question of how to present and analyze videos taken by soldiers, marines, and other combatants during battle without diminishing or sensationalizing their contributions. Terry and Kelly's resulting design uses the digital medium to allow nonlinear connections instead of a traditional, static narrative. They present multiple viewpoints without focusing on a single argument, letting users interpret the material for themselves. Sharon Daniel
Sharon Daniel is a digital media artist and a professor in the Film and Digital Media department and serves as chair for the Digital Arts and New Media MFA program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Along with teaching classes about digital media, Daniel does field research for new media projects. Her essays have been published in analytical and research journals such as ''Sarai'' and ''Leonardo''. Selected projects of Daniel's have been presented at festivals, including the Lincoln Center Festival, the Dutch Electronic Arts Festival, Ars Electronica, and the Corcoran Biennial.
