Lucos Cozza (born in Rome, Italy, on 11 April 1921 – 27 June 2011) was a Roman archaeologist. Born in Rome, Cozza was the son of the sculptor, count Lorenzo Cozza (Orvieto 1877 - Roma 1965), and the grandson of archaeologist Adolfo Cozza (Orvieto 1848 - Roma 1910). Cozza was a student of Giuseppe Lugli, the author of many scholarly books about Italian prehistory and the topography of Rome; his best-known work is on the Temple of Hadrian. He also wrote an archeological guide book to Roman antiquities, translated into several languages. Francesco Cozza (born 19 January 1974) is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a playmaker in the role of attacking midfielder, currently in charge as head coach of Serie D club San Luca. Playing career Born in Cariati, Calabria, Cozza started his career at A.C. Milan. He first signed for Reggiana in 1994, and in November left for Vicenza. Carmen Louis "Carm" Cozza (June 10, 1930 – January 4, 2018) was an American football and baseball player and coach of football. He served as the head football coach at Yale University from 1965 to 1996, winning ten Ivy League championships and compiling a record of 179–119–5. Cozza was named UPI New England Coach of the Year four times and Eastern Coach of the Year. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2002. Francesco Cozza (1605 – 13 January 1682) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period. Life Cozza was born in Stilo in Calabria and died in Rome. As a young man, he went to Rome where he was apprenticed to Domenichino, with whom he traveled to Naples in 1634. He is best known for his expansive panegyric ceiling fresco, ''Apotheosis of Pamphili House'' (1667-1673) in the library of Palazzo Pamphili in Piazza Navona in Rome. During 1658 to 1659, he frescoed the ''Stanza del Fuoco'' in Palazzo Pamphili in Valmontone, working alongside Pier Francesco Mola, Gaspar Dughet, Mattia Preti, Giovanni Battista Tassi (''il Cortonese''), and Guglielmo Cortese.Laura Bartoni, page 424. Lorenzo Cozza (March 31, 1654 – January 19, 1729) was an Italian friar Minor Observantist, Roman Catholic Cardinal (Catholicism), Cardinal and theologian. Giuseppe Cozza-Luzi (24 December 1837 – 1 June 1905) was an Italian savant and abbot of the Basilian monastery of Grottaferrata near Rome. Biography Cozza-Luzi was born in 1837 at Bolsena in the Province of Rome. In early youth he entered the ancient monastery of which he became abbot in 1882. Pius IX was attracted by his scholarship, as was later Leo XIII. In 1898 he was freed from all official cares and devoted himself to his beloved studies. He won distinction by his edition of several ancient Vatican manuscripts and was also learned in the history of art and in archaeology. He died in Rome on 1 June 1905.
