Coventry Arena Railway Station
Coventry Arena railway station is a railway station on the Coventry-Nuneaton Line. Located to the north of Coventry, England, it serves the adjacent Coventry Arena, for which it is named. It was opened on 18 January 2016, along with Bermuda Park station after considerable delays. Although the station was intended to serve the adjacent arena, it was announced in August 2015 that the station would be closed for one hour preceding and following football matches, rugby matches and concerts on safety grounds as there was insufficient rolling stock to run the services necessary for spectators: while six-carriage trains could be chartered to run every half-an-hour during weekends, the fares generated would not cover the chartering cost. Coventry–Nuneaton Line
The Coventry to Nuneaton Line is a railway line linking Coventry and Nuneaton in the West Midlands (region), West Midlands of England. The line has a passenger service. It is also used by through freight trains, and freight trains serving facilities on the route. The current passenger stations on the route are Nuneaton railway station, Nuneaton, Bermuda Park railway station, Bermuda Park, Bedworth, Coventry Arena railway station, Coventry Arena and Coventry railway station, Coventry. The ''Coventry Telegraph'' is a local English tabloid newspaper. It is published by Coventry Newspapers Limited, a subsidiary of Reach PLC Midlands Ltd, along with a number of other local publications. Publication history It was founded as ''The Midland Daily Telegraph'' in 1891 by William Isaac Iliffe (1843–1917), and was Coventry's first daily newspaper. Sold for half a penny, it was a four-page broadsheet newspaper. In 1917, ownership of the paper changed to Iliffe's son Edward Iliffe (later 1st Baron Iliffe), upon the father's death.
