Cotonsport
Coton Sport Football Club de Garoua, or simply Coton Sport, is a Cameroonian professional football (soccer), football club based in Garoua. They play their home games at the Stade Omnisport de Garoua, commonly known as the Roumde Adjia Stadium. The club is chaired by Sadou Fernand. The first team plays in MTN Elite One (Cameroonian first division) (since 1993) and competes in 2012 in the CAF Champions League. The club has the largest budget of a Cameroonian club (500 million CFA francs). It has won sixteen Cameroon championships and six Cameroon cups. In addition, in continental competitions, the club reached the final of the CAF Cup in 2003 and the CAF Champions League in 2008 and the semi-finals of the same competition in 2013. 2015 Elite One
The 2015 Elite One was the 55th season of the Cameroon Top League. The season began on 8 February 2015. Coton Sport FC de Garoua, Cotonsport won their third consecutive title and 14th overall, all in the last 19 years. Coton Sport FC de Garoua, Cotonsport clinched the title in the final round of the season, holding onto their 1-point lead over Union Douala when both teams closed the season with a draw. Union Douala picked up a road point with a 1-1 score at New Star de Douala, New Star, while Cotonsport played a scoreless home tie against Botafogo FC (Douala), Botafogo FC. With their respective top-two finishes, Cotonsport and Union Douala qualified for the 2016 CAF Champions League. New Star and Botafogo finished in a third-place tie and will play a play-off to determine the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup qualifier.
