Cortney Jordan
Cortney Jordan (born June 24, 1991 in Las Vegas Valley, Las Vegas, Nevada) is an American swimmer. Swimming career Jordan broke onto the international swimming scene when she won bronze medal, bronze in the 50, 100, and 400 metre freestyles at 2006 IPC Swimming World Championships, 2006 World Championships. Two years later, she participated at the 2008 Summer Paralympics where she won two silver medals for and freestyles, a gold medal, gold one for a freestyle and for the same sport a bronze medal for . In 2009, she competed at 2009 IPC Swimming World Championships 25 m, 2009 Short course World Championships for 50, 100, and 400 freestyles and won silver for all of them. Next year, she was awarded with two gold medals for 4x100 individual medley and freestyle at 2010 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), 2010 World Championships. She also competed at ParaPan Pacific Games in 2011, where she won 3 silver medals for 50, 100, and 200 metre freestyles and an individual medley. ... Backstroke
Backstroke or back crawl is one of the four swimming styles used in competitive events regulated by FINA, and the only one of these styles swum on the back. This swimming style has the advantage of easy breathing, but the disadvantage of swimmers not being able to see where they are going. It also has a different start from the other three competition swimming styles. The swimming style is similar to an ''upside down'' front crawl or freestyle. Both backstroke and front crawl are long-axis strokes. In individual medley backstroke is the second style swum; in the medley relay it is the first style swum. 2011 Parapan American Games
The 4th Parapan American Games took place from November 12 to 20 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Games are an international multi-sport event for athletes with a physical disability. The Games were held 20 days after the 2011 Pan American Games began. Parapan American Games
The Parapan American Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities held every four years after every Pan American Games. The first Games were held in 1999 in Mexico City, Mexico. The 2003 Parapan American Games was the last Parapan American Games that was not held in the same city as the Pan American Games. The most recent games was the 5th Parapan American Games which took place in 2019 with the host city being Lima, Peru.
