Corona (novel)
''Corona'' is a ''Star Trek: The Original Series'' novel written by Greg Bear. Plot A sentient force of protostars, called 'Corona', endangers a team of Vulcan scientists. Captain Kirk and the Starship Enterprise, USS ''Enterprise'' arrive, their onboard situation complicated by a female reporter and a new computer system that can override Kirk's commands. The situation further degrades when it is learned the protostars might restart the entire universe. Gregory Dale Bear (August 20, 1951 – November 19, 2022) was an American science fiction writer. His work covered themes of Interstellar_war, galactic conflict (''The Forge of God, Forge of God'' books), parallel universes (''The Way (Greg Bear), The Way'' series), consciousness and Cultural_practice, cultural practices (''Queen of Angels (novel), Queen of Angels''), and accelerated evolution (''Blood Music (novel), Blood Music'', ''Darwin's Radio'', and ''Darwin's Children''). Boris Vallejo (born January 8, 1941) is a Peruvian-American painter who works in the science fiction, fantasy, and erotica genres. His hyper-representational paintings have appeared on the covers of numerous novels in the science fiction, sword and sorcery, and fantasy fiction genres, along with album covers for musical groups in addition to movie posters and other media. His art is also sold through a series of annual calendars.
