Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Cork PIHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Cork GAA, Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking intermediate clubs in the County Cork, county of Cork in Ireland. It is the third tier overall in the entire Cork hurling championship system. The Cork Premier Intermediate Championship was introduced in 2004 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship, 2004 following a split in the existing Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship. At the time of its creation it was the second tier of Cork hurling. In its soon-to-be introduced format, the Cork Premier Intermediate Championship will begin in April. 2024 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 2024 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship is the 21st staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 14 December 2023. The championship is scheduled to run from 3 August to 1 December 2024. The final was played on 10 November 2024 at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Watergrasshill and Carrigaline, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Watergrasshill won the match by 2-16 to 0-19 to claim their first ever championship title. Carrigaline's Brian Kelleher was the championship's top scorer with 0-50. The Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition for intermediate clubs in Munster hurling. The Munster Intermediate Club Championship was introduced in 2003. In its current format, the championship begins in late October or early November and is usually played over a four-week period. The 2019 Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 16th staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2004. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 15 January 2019. The championship began on 19 April 2019 and ended on 12 October 2019. On 12 October 2019, Fr. Castlelyons GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Castlelyons, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the East Cork Board and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling, but also fields teams in Gaelic football. History Located in the village of Castlelyons, about 6 miles from Fermoy, Castlelyons GAA Club was founded in 1948. Ballincollig GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in the town of Ballincollig, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with the Cork GAA board and it fields Gaelic football and hurling teams in Muskerry divisional competitions. As of 2010, the club was participating in the Cork Senior Football Championship and the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship.
