Corey James Miller (born October 25, 1968) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The 1991 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The New York Giants, an American football team which currently plays in the National Football League's National Football Conference, has a history dating back more than 80 seasons. The Giants have won 4 Super Bowls and drafted, Daniel Jones, in 2019. The Giants were founded in 1925 by Tim Mara in the then five-year-old NFL. Mara owned the team until his death in 1959, when it was passed on to his sons, Wellington and Jack. Christian Miller (born June 16, 1996) is an American football outside linebacker who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Alabama. College career Miller was a team captain and a member of 2 College Football Playoff National Championship teams as well as 4 SEC Championship teams while with the Crimson Tide. A four-star recruit and the top ranked player in the state of South Carolina heading into Alabama, Miller was primarily used as an outside linebacker in college, although coach Nick Saban sometimes experimented with him at inside linebacker in practice due to his versatility. Miller's junior season was widely hampered by injuries, but was highlighted with a sack in the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship.
