Ann-Marie Theresa Cording, née Devally (born 1959), is a female former athlete who competed for England. Biography Devally finished second behind Barbara Simmonds in the high jump event at the 1979 WAAA Championships before becoming the British high jump champion after winning the British WAAA Championships title at the 1980 WAAA Championships and the 1981 WAAA Championships. In between the two WAAA titles Devally married Ian Cording in Bedford during late 1980 and competed under her married name thereafter. George Cording
George Ernest Cording (1 January 1878 – 2 February 1946) was a Welsh cricketer. Cording was a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born at Tredegar, Monmouthshire. Cording made his debut in county cricket for Glamorgan against Berkshire in the 1900 Minor Counties Championship. His appearances for Glamorgan were limited in his capacity as a full-time school teacher. Before World War I, his teaching commitments limited his appearances in the Minor Counties Championship to just seventeen. Glamorgan were afforded first-class status for the 1921 season, with Cording, aged 43 at this time, keeping-wicket in Glamorgan's inaugural County Championship match against Sussex at Cardiff Arms Park. Cording assisted Glamorgan for two further seasons, making eighteen further first-class appearances, the last of which came against Yorkshire at Bramall Lane, Sheffield. Hector William "Harry" Cording (26 April 1891 – 1 September 1954) was an English-American actor. He is perhaps best remembered for his roles in the films '' The Black Cat'' (1934) and ''The Adventures of Robin Hood'' (1938). Life and career Cording was born Hector William Cording on 26 April 1891 in Wellington, Somerset. He was brought up and was educated at Rugby, and he was a member of the British Army in World War I. In 1919, he became steward for a British steamship line whose ships, such as the ''Vauban'' and the ''Calamares'', which he had worked on, frequently called at the Port of New York. After a number of trips, he resigned and decided to stay in the United States. He later settled permanently in Los Angeles, where he began a film career. His first role was as a henchman in ''The Knockout'' (1925), followed by similar roles over the next few years. Cording appeared in many Hollywood films from the 1920s to the 1950s. Jamie Cording (born 30 December 1989) is a rugby league footballer who last played for Featherstone Rovers in the Championship. He previously played for the Huddersfield in the Super League and Featherstone Rovers, the Sheffield Eagles and Gateshead Thunder in the lower leagues.
