Cor Herkströter
Antonius Johannes Cornelius "Cor" Herkströter (born 21 August 1937) is a former chairman of Royal Dutch Shell. Cor Herkströter was born in Venlo. He studied economics and accountancy at the School of Economics in Rotterdam (now Erasmus University Rotterdam). After graduating, he joined Billiton mining company which was latterly taken over by Shell. During his career at Shell he rose to the most senior executive position at the company, the Chairman of the Committee of Managing Directors, on 1 July 1993. In 1996, he reorganized the central offices in The Hague and London and laboratories in Amsterdam and Rijswijk. He retired in 1998. Peter Fenwick Holmes
Sir Peter Fenwick Holmes (27 September 1932 – 8 March 2002) was a British businessman who was the chairman of Shell Transport and Trading from 1985 to 1993 and chairman of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group from 1992 to 1993. Early life Holmes was born in Athens, and lived in Hungary for a time, as his father had a company there, and his mother was American. His grandfather and great grandfather lived in Turkey, where they worked for the Levant consular service. Holmes was educated at Malvern College, and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he earned a bachelor's degree in history in 1955. While a university student, he served in the Royal Leicestershire Regiment during the Korean War, where he won the Military Cross in 1952. Maarten Albert van den Bergh (born 19 April 1942 in New York City) is a Dutch businessman. Van den Bergh is the son of Maria Meijers (1905–1957) and Sidney James van den Bergh, long-term chairman of Unilever and Dutch Minister of Defense in 1959. His grandfather Samuel van den Bergh was one of the founders of Unilever.
