Copa Promesas MX
The Copa Promesas MX is a Mexican football cup competition that was established in 2024. This tournament was established to improve the sporting development of the teams in the lower categories of Mexican football and the youth teams of the top category clubs, in response to the fans' complaint about the lack of development of youth football players in Mexico. However, this project was also criticized by fans because they considered it an incomplete version of the previous Copa MX and a substitute for the lack of promotion opportunities for the clubs that are playing in the lower categories. Format 64 teams are part of the competition: The U-19 squads that are part of the structure of the 18 Liga MX clubs, 13 teams from Liga Premier de México and 33 clubs from Liga TDP. Halcones F
Escuadrilla de Alta Acrobacia Halcones ("Hawks High Aerobatics Squad"), known simply as the 'Hawks' (Halcones), is an active group of nine officers of the Chilean Air Force who are trained specifically for aerobatics. One of the Halcones' signature moves is recreating the Chilean star in the air using smoke. The team may be likened to the British Royal Air Force's Red Arrows for their affinity for complex, high-risk, aviation-based manoeuvers. The team flies GameBird GB1 aircraft. Copa MX
Copa MX, also known as Copa Corona MX for sponsorship reasons, was an association football competition in Mexico and the domestic cup tournament for clubs at the highest and second levels of Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Copa México (1942–1963, 1970–1997) and also as Copa Presidente (1963–1970), the first season of the professional era was held in 1942–43. The cup tournament was not held in several years (1976–1988, 1992–1994, 1997–2012) and currently the competition has been paused since the 2019–20 edition. Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. Liga TDP is a professional association football league in Mexico and the fourth level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Tercera División de México (1967–2017). It has 223 participating clubs, divided into 17 regional groups by geographic location. In the 2009–10 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group. In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a tie (draw), draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as Overtime (sports)#Association football, extra time (if used) has expired. The Leagues Cup is an annual soccer competition between clubs from Major League Soccer (MLS), the main soccer league in the United States, and Liga MX, the main soccer league in Mexico. It is hosted in Canada and the United States. It began in July 2019 with four teams from both leagues participating. The first edition was a single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States with a final played in Whitney, Nevada, near Las Vegas, on September 18, 2019. Carlos Salcido
Carlos Arnoldo Salcido Flores (; born 2 April 1980) is a Mexican former professional footballer. He started his career as a centre-back and played most of it as left-back, then converted to defensive midfielder and ended it as centre-back. He won the 2012 Olympic gold medal.
