''Contra'' is a 2020 German comedy film based on the French film '' Le Brio''. Plot Law professor Richard Pohl (Christoph Maria Herbst) makes a racist remark when student Naima ( Nilam Farooq) arrives late for his lecture. Sönke Wortmann
Sönke Wortmann (; 25 August 1959 in Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German film director and producer. Biography Wortmann's father was a miner. After Wortmann's A-Levels he wanted to become a professional football player and started playing with Westfalia Herne and later SpVgg Erkenschwick in the German 3rd division. After three years he gave up the idea of becoming a professional football player. One semester he studied sociology before entering the University of Television and Film Munich to study film directing. After spending some time at the London Royal College of Art he finished his career successfully. While studying, he worked as a taxi driver and actor, for example in the TV series '' Die glückliche Familie''. His debut feature film '' Der bewegte Mann'' was released in 1994. Christoph Maria Herbst (born 9 February 1966) is a German actor and comedian. Early life Herbst was born in Wuppertal. After passing the Abitur, he became a trainee banker and was active at the free theatre scene in Wuppertal at the same time. Career Theatre In 1986, Herbst was a founding member of the private ''Theater in Cronenberg'' and its acting school. He's still performing in German theatres. Martin Todsharow (born 6 September 1967) is a German composer, producer, and lecturer on music, since 2004 a professor at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg. He has won the German Film Critics' Best Music Award and the German Music Authors' Prize for Film Music Composition. Le Brio
''Le Brio'' is a 2017 French comedy film directed by Yvan Attal. Plot Neïla lives in the Paris suburb Créteil with her mother and grandmother. She enrolls herself into Panthéon-Assas University in the hopes of becoming a lawyer, but meets with public humiliation tainted with racism from the controversial professor Mazard when she arrives late for one of his lectures. The incident finds its way online, and the dean of the law school catches wind of the incident and steps in, only to task the professor, as a means to make amends, to mentor Neïla for an upcoming debating/public speaking contest.
