Constantin Stănici
Constantin Stănici (born 17 September 1969 in Bucharest) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Stănici was born on 17 September 1969 in Bucharest, Romania, starting to play football at local club, Sportul Studențesc. He made his Divizia A debut on 28 May 1986 in a 2–2 draw against Victoria București. He played his first three games in European competitions during the 1986–87 UEFA Cup, helping Sportul get past Omonia Nicosia, being eliminated in the following round by Gent. In the following edition of the same competition he played five games as the team got past GKS Katowice, then Peter Schmeichel and Brian Laudrup's Brøndby, losing the away game with 3–0 but managing to win the second leg with the same score, obtaining at the penalty shoot-out a historical qualification to the next round where the campaign ended in front of Italian side, Hellas Verona. The 1986–87 UEFA Cup was the 16th season of the UEFA Cup, the third-tier club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The final was played over two legs at the Ullevi, Gothenburg, Sweden, and at Tannadice Park, Dundee, Scotland. The competition was won by IFK Göteborg of Sweden, who defeated Dundee United of Scotland by an aggregate result of 2–1 to claim their second title. The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, ), also known as NB I or Fizz Liga after its title sponsor, OTP Bank's webshop subsidiary, is a professional association football league in Hungary and the highest level of the Hungarian football league system. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification rounds for the UEFA Champions League, while the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Magyar Kupa enter the UEFA Conference League qualification rounds. Marian Popa
Marian Popa (born 3 March 1964) is a Romanian former football striker. Club career Marian Popa was born on 3 March 1964 in Constanța, Romania and started playing football at age 11 for the youth side of FC Constanța under the guidance of coach Adam Munteanu, later working with Constantin Tâlvescu. In 1982, he started his senior career at Divizia C club, Voința Constanța and after one year he moved to Metalul Mangalia. In 1987 he went at Farul Constanța in Divizia B where he was coached by Emanoil Hașoti, scoring six goals in his first season that helped the club earn promotion Divizia A, a competition in which he would make his debut on 21 August 1988 in a 3–0 home win over ASA Târgu Mureș. Budapesti Vasutas Sport Club-Zugló commonly known as BVSC-Zugló is a professional football club based in Zugló, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II. The Romanian revolution () was a period of violent civil unrest in Romania during December 1989 as a part of the revolutions of 1989 that occurred in several countries around the world, primarily within the Eastern Bloc. Brian Laudrup (, born 22 February 1969) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a winger, forward or as a midfielder, and was regarded as one of the most talented players of his generation. He currently works for the various TV sports channels of Scandinavian media network, Viaplay. Laudrup also manages a football academy for marginalised youth. Brian Laudrup is the son of Danish former footballer Finn Laudrup and the younger brother of footballer Michael Laudrup. Peter Bolesław Schmeichel (born 18 November 1963) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During eight seasons at English club Manchester United, he won 15 trophies including five Premier League titles, three FA Cups and he captained the club to victory in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final to complete the Treble. Schmeichel also played for the Denmark national team, with whom he won the UEFA European Championship in 1992.
