Constantin Olteanu (footballer)
Constantin Olteanu (6 January 1946 – 17 April 2021) was a Romanian football defender who spent his entire professional career at Argeș Pitești, winning one league title. Club career Constantin Olteanu was born on 6 January 1946 in Bucharest, Romania, starting to play junior level football at local club, Flacăra Roșie where he was teammate with Rică Răducanu, then moving to Dinamo București. In 1964 he went to play senior level football at Argeș Pitești, a club at which he would spend the rest of his career, making his Divizia A debut on 27 September in a 2–2 with Știința Craiova. At the end of his first season, the team reached the 1965 Cupa României final, however coach Virgil Mărdărescu did not use him in the eventual 2–1 loss in front of Știința Cluj. Florin Vașken Halagian (7 March 1939 – 12 August 2019) was a Romanian football player and manager of Armenian descent, hence the nickname ''Armeanul'' (The Armenian). With 878 games, he is the manager who has the most matches in the Liga I, Romanian top-division. 1964–65 Cupa României
The 1964–65 Cupa României was the 27th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Știința Cluj against Dinamo Pitești. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, 2 pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. Each tie is played as a single leg. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. Nicolae Dobrin (; 26 August 1947 – 26 October 2007) was a Romanian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder and a manager. Nicknamed ''Gâscanul'' ("The Gander") or ''Prințul din Trivale'' ("The Prince of Trivale"), he is considered one of Romania's greatest footballers. The Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, most commonly referred to as the Fairs Cup and sometimes as the European Fairs Cup or Fairs Cities' Cup, was a European football competition played between 1955 and 1971. The Fairs Cup was the idea of FIFA vice-president and executive committee member Ernst Thommen, Italian Football Federation president and FIFA executive committee member Ottorino Barassi and English Football Association general secretary, Stanley Rous. As the name suggests, the competition was set up to promote international trade fairs. Friendly games were regularly held between teams from cities holding trade fairs and it was from these games that the competition evolved.
