Conspirituality
Conspirituality is a portmanteau neologism describing the overlap of conspiracy theories with spirituality, typically of New Age varieties. Contemporary conspirituality became common in the 1990s. Characterization The term was coined for the 2011 study "The Emergence of Conspirituality" by sociologists Charlotte Ward and David Voas published in the ''Journal of Contemporary Religion'', borrowing the word from the name of a Canadian hip hop group. They characterized the movement as follows: It offers a broad politico-spiritual philosophy based on two core convictions, the first traditional to conspiracy theory, the second rooted in the New Age: 1) a secret group covertly controls, or is trying to control, the political and social order, and 2) humanity is undergoing a "paradigm shift" in consciousness. The Zeitgeist Movement
The Zeitgeist Movement is an activist movement established in the United States in 2008 by Peter Joseph. The group is critical of market capitalism, describing it as structurally corrupt and wasteful of resources. The group dismisses historic religious concepts as misleading, and embraces sustainable ecology and scientific administration of society. ''VC Reporter's'' Shane Cohn summarized the movement's charter as: "Our greatest social problems are the direct results of our economic system". Bertram Dybwad Brochmann
Bertram Dybwad Brochmann (1 January 1881 – 15 January 1956) was a Norwegian businessperson, writer and politician, founder of the Society Party. He was born in Grue as a son of Jørgen Henrik Hegermann Brochmann (1850–1921) and Sophie Wilhelmine Dybwad (1858–1892). He was a nephew of Bertram Elias Dybwad, and on the paternal side a first cousin of Georg Brochmann. In 1931, Brochmann began the magazine ''Samfundsliv''. He formed the ''Samfundspartiet'' ("The Society Party") two years later. Brochmann's movement touted the fundamental evils of capitalism, State power, and organized religion. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 1933, serving the period 1934 to 1936. Alf Larsen
Alf Larsen (22 July 1885 – 12 December 1967) was a Norwegian poet, essayist and magazine editor. He founded and edited the anthrophosophic magazine from 1933 to 1941. His literary awards include the Gyldendal's Endowment (1959) and the Dobloug Prize (1961). Biography Larsen was born at Tjøme in Vestfold, Norway. he was the eldest of seven children born to Alfred Larsen (1859-1905) and Kristine Iversen (1857-1936). His father was a skipper who died in the North Sea in 1905. Indigo Children
Indigo children, according to a pseudoscientific New Age concept, are children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities. The idea is based on concepts developed in the 1970s by Nancy Ann Tappe, who wrote that she had been noticing indigo children beginning in the late 1960s. Her ideas were further developed by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. The concept of indigo children gained popular interest with the publication of a series of books in the late 1990s and the release of several films in the following decade. There are various Conspiracy theory, conspiracy theories that attribute the preparation and execution of the September 11 attacks against the United States to parties other than, or in addition to, al-Qaeda. Love Has Won (LHW), also known as the Galactic Federation of Light, is an American new religious movement which was led by Amy Carlson until her death in 2021. Carlson was referred to within the group as "Mother God", who described herself as, among other things, the creator of the universe. The group has been described as a cult by many, including ex-members and media outlets. The group had between twelve and twenty full-time members who lived with Carlson at the time of her death.
