Conor Gethins
Conor Gethins (born 1 November 1983) is an Irish footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Highland Football League Club Nairn County. Career Born in Lifford, Ireland, Gethins started his professional career with Ross County in the Scottish Football League before returning to his native Ireland in 2005 after a loan spell with Stirling Albion. Gethins played for Finn Harps in the League of Ireland, with a brief loan spell at Galway United, before returning to Scottish football in 2010 with Peterhead. He signed for Nairn County in 2011 and was voted Highland League Player of the Year and top scorer for 2012–13. Lifford
Lifford (, historically anglicised as ''Liffer'') is the county town of County Donegal, Ireland, the administrative centre of the county and the seat of Donegal County Council, although the town of Letterkenny is often mistaken as holding this role. Lifford lies in the Finn Valley area of East Donegal where the River Finn meets the River Mourne to create the River Foyle. The Burn Dale (also spelled as the Burn Deele), which flows through Ballindrait, flows into the River Foyle on the northern outskirts of Lifford. 2020–21 Highland Football League
The 2020–21 Highland Football League (known as the Breedon Highland League for sponsorship reasons) was the 118th season of the Highland Football League, and the 7th season as the fifth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league announced in August 2020 that the season would start in October with a shortened a 16-game schedule (teams playing each other once). In late September, the start date was deferred until at least 28 November because the member clubs said they could not play fixtures without fans. The season started on 28 November, but Forres Mechanics withdrew just beforehand (reducing the schedule to 15 games). On 11 January 2021 the league was suspended by the Scottish Football Association due to the escalating pandemic situation.
