Connor Tomlinson
Connor Alexander Tomlinson (born 12 February 2001) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Bedford Town. Early and personal life Tomlinson was born in Luton, Bedfordshire and attended Harlington Upper School. He is the son of former footballer Graeme Tomlinson. Career Luton Town Tomlinson became the youngest player to make a first-team appearance for Luton Town at 15 years and 199 days old when he was introduced as a 92nd-minute substitute for Zane Banton in a 2–1 away win over Gillingham in an EFL Trophy group stage match on 30 August 2016. He signed scholarship terms with the club in the summer of 2017. Tomlinson joined National League South club Hemel Hempstead Town on 14 December 2018 on a one-month youth loan. Luton
Luton () is a town and borough in Bedfordshire, England. The borough had a population of 225,262 at the 2021 census. Luton is on the River Lea, about north-west of London. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons. Most commonly, young prospects will be loaned to a club in a lower league in order to gain invaluable first team experience. 2020–21 Southern Football League
The 2020–21 Southern Football League season was the 118th in the history of the Southern League since its establishment in 1894. The league has two Premier divisions (Central and South) at Step 3 of the National League System (NLS) and two Division One divisions (Central and South) at Step 4. These correspond to levels 7 and 8 of the English football league system. The allocations for Steps 3 and 4 for season 2020–21 were announced by the FA on 21 July 2020. Due to the restrictions on clubs' ability to play matches in the lockdowns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, competitions at Steps 3–6 were curtailed on 24 February 2021. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, also known as the Isuzu FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after The Football Association (the FA) and competed by mainly National League teams. The competition was introduced in 1969. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system.
