Connecticut Transit Waterbury
The Northeast Transportation Company is the operator of local bus service in the cities of Waterbury, Naugatuck, Meriden, and Wallingford, operating under contract to Connecticut Transit. Waterbury routes All routes originate from the Waterbury Green (Unless otherwise noted) and operate 365 days a year, including major holidays. Former Routes Naugatuck routes Like its fellow town Bristol, Naugatuck has three local routes that run through the town, returning every 90 minutes. Weekdays only between 9:00 AM & 4:00 PM. Meriden routes In Meriden, five loop routes are operated between 6 AM and 6 PM, weekdays only. Watertown is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 22,105 at the 2020 census. The ZIP codes for Watertown are 06795 (for most of the town) and 06779 (for the Oakville section). It is a suburb of Waterbury. The urban center of the town is the Watertown census-designated place, with a population of 3,938 at the 2020 census. Founding Colonization of the area today called Watertown began around 1657. In that time, the colony was called "Mattatock", though it had several variations in spelling through the years. Route 71 is a north–south state highway in Connecticut, running from Wallingford to West Hartford. It is the main north–south road of Meriden, Berlin and New Britain. Route description Route 71 begins at an intersection with US 5 in Wallingford. After 0.23 miles, it joins Route 150 for a wrong way concurrency through the Yalesville Underpass. Route 71 resumes its northward course, entering Meriden and passing the east end of Route 70. In the center of Meriden, Route 71 becomes a pair of one way sections as it intersects West Main Street. Beacon Falls is a town in western New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. It lies in the southwestern part of the state, and is bisected by the Naugatuck River. The population was 6,000 at the 2020 census, down from 6,049 at the 2010 census. Founding The area that was to become Beacon Falls was first inhabited by tribal communities of Paugusetts and Paugusucks and was originally known as Nyumps. Route 42 is an east–west state highway in Connecticut running for from Route 67 in Oxford to Route 10 in Cheshire. Route description Route 42 begins at an intersection with Route 67 just east of the town center of Oxford as Chestnut Tree Hill Road Extension .
