This is a list of the original 124 ''Pink Panther'' animated shorts produced between December 18, 1964, and February 1, 1980, by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises (DFE Films). 92 shorts were released theatrically. The first 62 entries appeared on Saturday mornings via ''The Pink Panther Show'' under the same umbrella title starting in 1969 on NBC. All 32 made-for-television entries were also distributed to theaters after initially airing on ''The Pink Panther Show'' under the title ''The All New Pink Panther Show'' in 1978 on ABC, respectively. Every short in the series has the word "pink" in the title. ''The Pink Panther'' is an American media franchise primarily focusing on a series of comedy-mystery films featuring an inept French police detective, Inspector Clouseau, Inspector Jacques Clouseau. The franchise began with the release of the film ''The Pink Panther (1963 film), The Pink Panther'' in 1963. The role of Clouseau was originated by and is most closely associated with Peter Sellers. Most of the films were written and directed by Blake Edwards, with theme music composed by Henry Mancini. Elements and characters inspired by the films were adapted into other media, including books, comic books, video games and animated series. The first film in the series derives its title from a pink diamond that has enormous size and value. Paul Frees
Solomon Hersh Frees (June 22, 1920November 2, 1986), better known as Paul Frees, was an American actor, comedian, impressionist, and vaudevillian. He is known for his work on Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Walter Lantz, Rankin/Bass and Walt Disney theatrical cartoons during the Golden Age of Animation, and for providing the voice of Boris Badenov in '' The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show''. Frees was sometimes known as "The Man of a Thousand Voices", an appellation more commonly bestowed on Mel Blanc. Pink Panther And Pals
''Pink Panther and Pals'' is an American animated television series and a modern adaptation of the classic DePatie-Freleng '' Pink Panther'' shorts from the 1960s. The series was produced by Desert Panther Productions and Rubicon Studios in association with Mirisch-Geoffrey-DePatie-Freleng and MGM Television. It premiered on Cartoon Network on March 7, 2010 and later moved to Boomerang on August 12, 2010. 26 episodes were produced. Like the classic cartoon show, the program is composed of two seven-minute ''Pink Panther'' shorts and a seven-minute ''Ant and the Aardvark'' short in between, retaining the main characters in both shorts though with some changes. Mel Blanc
Melvin Jerome Blanc (born Blank ; May 30, 1908 – July 10, 1989) was an American voice actor and radio personality whose career spanned over 60 years. During the Golden Age of Radio, he provided character voices and vocal sound effects for comedy radio programs, including those of Jack Benny, Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen, The Great Gildersleeve, Judy Canova and his own short-lived sitcom.
