"Confirmed Dead" is the second episode of the fourth season of ABC's serial television drama '' Lost'' and the 74th episode overall. It was first aired on February 7, 2008, on ABC in the United States and on CTV in Canada. The episode includes the first appearances of the main characters Miles Straume and Charlotte Lewis and the supporting character Frank Lapidus. Ken Leung played Miles Straume, Rebecca Mader played Charlotte Lewis and Jeff Fahey played Frank Lapidus. The actors were given fake scenes when auditioning to limit the leak of story information or spoilers. Mader and Fahey were different from the writers' visions of Charlotte and Frank, but the writers changed the characters to suit them. Also, the role of Miles was changed for Leung. Oceanic Airlines, and less frequently, Oceanic Airways, is the name of a fictional airline used in several films, television programs, and comic books—typically works that feature plane crashes and other aviation disasters, with which a real airline would prefer not to be associated. A spoiler is an element of a disseminated summary or description of any narrative that reveals plot elements. Rebecca Leigh Mader (born 24 April 1977) is an English actress, best known for her roles as Charlotte Lewis in the ABC series '' Lost'', and as Zelena, the Wicked Witch of the West, on ABC's '' Once Upon a Time'', for which she garnered critical acclaim. Kenneth Leung (; born January 21, 1970) is an American actor. His roles include Sang in '' Rush Hour'', Miles Straume in '' Lost'', Admiral Statura in '' Star Wars: The Force Awakens'', and Eric Tao in HBO's '' Industry''. Early life Leung was born in New York City, to Chinese parents, and was initially raised in the Two Bridges section of the Lower East Side of Manhattan. His family moved to Midwood, Brooklyn, where he grew up before finishing high school in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Leung attended New York University as a University Scholar. Charlotte Lewis (Lost)
Dr Charlotte Staples Lewis is a fictional character on the ABC television series '' Lost'', played by Rebecca Mader. Miles Straume
Miles Straume is a fictional character played by Ken Leung on the ABC television series '' Lost''. Miles is introduced early in the fourth season as a hotheaded and sarcastic medium as a crew member aboard the freighter called the ''Kahana'' that is offshore the island where most of ''Lost'' takes place.
