John Steppling (actor)
John Steppling (8 August 1870 in Essen, Germany – 5 April 1932 in Hollywood, California) was a German-American silent film actor. He moved to America at a young age and entered film in 1912 aged 42. He starred in a total of 230 films between then and 1928. He is also credited with directing 7 films. He is the grandfather of playwright John Steppling. Sam Allen (December 25, 1861 – September 13, 1934) was an American actor known for his role as Uncle Hughey in '' The Virginian'' (1923). He founded a brewery and a hotel complex. In 1910 he left the stage and joined as an actor on the silver screen. Margaret Campbell
Margaret Campbell (April 24, 1883 – June 27, 1939) was an American character actress in silent films. In her later years she was the secretary of the Baháʼí Spiritual Assembly of Los Angeles. Career Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Campbell was the leading lady of the Bramhall Players. She appeared on Broadway in ''Lightnin (1918), ''Keeping Up Appearances'' (1918), ''The Silent Assertion'' (1917), ''Difference in Gods'' (1917), ''Keeping Up Appearances'' (1916), ''The Merchant of Venice'' (1913), ''Hamlet'' (1912), and ''Kassa'' (1909). Robert Milasch
Robert Milasch (April 18, 1885 – November 14, 1954) was an American character actor in the silent and sound periods. He was 6 feet, 6 inches tall. Biography Milasch left his Smoke Mountain, Tennessee, home at age 9, joining a wagon circus that went through the village. At age 13, performing as a contortionist, he joined another circus and went with it to South Africa. He left that troupe after being beaten by his boss and went to England, where he worked as a clown. Back in the United States in 1898, he joined the Gaumont Film Company and began acting in short films for it. Milasch acted on stage before he worked in films. He began his film career in 1903 at 18 at the Edison Manufacturing Company.
