Coneheads (film)
''Coneheads'' is a 1993 American science-fiction comedy film released by Paramount Pictures. It is produced by Lorne Michaels, directed by Steve Barron, and stars Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, and Michelle Burke. The film is based on the NBC ''Saturday Night Live'' comedy sketches about aliens stranded on Earth, who have Anglicized their Remulakian surname "Clorhone" to "Conehead". Aykroyd and Curtin reprising their roles, with Burke takes over the role played by Laraine Newman on ''SNL''. Laraine Newman
Laraine Newman (born March 2, 1952) is an American actress, comedian, and writer. Newman was part of the original cast of NBC's sketch comedy series ''Saturday Night Live'' from its inception in 1975 until her departure in 1980. Newman took an interest in improv at Beverly Hills High School. After graduating in 1970, she studied mime with Marcel Marceau for a year in Paris. She then moved to Los Angeles and became a founding member of comedy improvisational group The Groundlings. She was first hired by Lorne Michaels for a Lily Tomlin TV special in 1974. Garrett Isaac Morris (born February 1, 1937) is an American actor, comedian and singer. He was part of the original cast and was the first black cast member of the sketch comedy program ''Saturday Night Live'', appearing from 1975 to 1980.
