Condor Cycles
Condor Cycles is a bicycle manufacturer based on Gray's Inn Road in London. Condor Cycles was started in 1948 by Monty Young, providing bespoke bicycles which have been ridden by riders such as Tom Simpson, Bradley Wiggins, and Tao Geoghegan Hart. Condor bicycles have been ridden to World Championship gold medals and ridden in the Tour de France. Sponsorships In 1986 Condor Cycles supported the Percy Bilton pro cycling team and in 1998 the Anglia Sport cycling team from which rider Gary Baker won several stages of the Tour of Britain, Milk Race. Condor Cycles co-owned the UK-based cycling team Rapha Condor-JLT with sportswear and lifestyle brand Rapha (sportswear), Rapha. Tom Simpson
Thomas Simpson (30 November 1937 – 13 July 1967) was one of Britain's most successful professional cyclists. He was born in Haswell, County Durham, and later moved to Harworth, Nottinghamshire. Simpson began road cycling as a teenager before taking up track cycling, specialising in pursuit races. He won a bronze medal for track cycling at the 1956 Summer Olympics and a silver at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. In 1959, at age 21, Simpson was signed by the French professional road-racing team . He advanced to their first team () the following year, and won the 1961 Tour of Flanders. Sir Bradley Marc Wiggins (born 28 April 1980) is a British former professional Road bicycle racing, road and track cycling, track racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2016. Tao Geoghegan Hart ( ; born 30 March 1995) is a British cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He rode for as a stagiaire in late 2015, and joined the team permanently for the 2017 season. He was the winner of the 2020 Giro d'Italia, taking the jersey following the final day time-trial and becoming the first winner in the history of the Giro never to wear the ''maglia rosa'' until he had won it outright.
