Condor BC
Condor Basketball Club, also known as Condor or Condor de Yaoundé, is a Cameroonian basketball club from Yaoundé. The team plays in the top level Elite Messieurs and is a national league champion in 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2019. History Founded as Cèdres, the team later changed their name to Condor. The best achievement in the history of Condor was the second place in the 2010 FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup. With a impressive campaign, the team beat Kano Pillars in the quarterfinals and AS Salé in the semi-finals. However, in the finals Angolan powerhouse Primeiro de Agosto was too strong for the Cameroonian club. In 2019, Condor won its second national title. The league consisted out of 8 teams in the 2022–23 season. Yaoundé
Yaoundé (; , ) is the capital of Cameroon and, with a population of more than 2.8 million, the second-largest city in the country after the port city Douala. It lies in the Centre Region of the nation at an elevation of about 750 metres (2,500 ft) above sea level. The outpost of Epsumb or Jeundo was founded between the Nyong and Sanaga rivers at the northern edge of the area's forests in 1887 by German explorers as a trading base for rubber and ivory. The 2010 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship (25th edition), was an international basketball tournament held in Cotonou, Benin from 10 December to 19 December 2010. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa, and hosted by ASO Modele, was contested by 11 clubs split into 2 groups, the top four of which qualifying for the knock-out stage, quarter, semi-finals and final. Association Sportive Salé ( ar, جمعية سلا), commonly known as AS Salé, is a Moroccan basketball club from Salé. The club competes in the Division Excellence and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The FIBA Africa Basketball League (formerly named the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup) was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries.
